Mr Chan’s chemistry lessons were instrumental in helping me achieve stellar results in my Chemistry A level exam. Through his patience, meticulous guidance and personal touch, my chemistry grade drastically improved over my 2 years in JC, allowing me to finally achieve an A.

Chemistry in secondary school used to be easy. A1s were not an issue, just put in a little effort and it’s done. JC on the other hand….D/Es were the norm. Mr Chan had been an excellent chemistry tutor and with his help, I managed to pull from a E in chem to B.

I never did well for chemistry in Secondary School but I started doing well in Junior College because of Mr Chan’s lessons. Not only are they efficient, they help me understand the topics even better than the school teachers! My grades improved from a S grade to top in level and helped me to achieve an A for A levels!

My doubts are always clarified during lessons and i’m always learning new things because the questions done during tuition were always chosen to pick out commonly made mistakes. previously i was always confused during chem lessons but the concepts were always explained clearly and later on i could even help my classmates.

Comprehensive and detailed explanation of concepts with clear and concise teaching

Mr Chan’s style of teaching makes the lesson interesting and efficient. This helps us to fully comprehend and understand the subject better. He also provides us with good questions that helped in our answering techniques in the exam.

I used to think that studying lecture notes and completing tutorials would suffice, but Mr Chan exposed me to questions beyond the ten year series. Every week, he would make us practice questions under time constrain, before going through them in a detailed and concise manner. He took care to point out common misconceptions, popular questions and A level trends, making my revision more efficient. Although the lessons were quite fast-paced and rigorous, my grades improved from an S to an A. Mr Chan has proved his dedication to teaching, even willing to entertain students’ questions outside of tuition. Thanks to him, I have discovered my love for Chemistry and plan to pursue Chemistry in university.

Your teaching is efficient and straight to the point, helping me resolve my conceptual understanding of various topics in the shortest period of time. You always hope to see improvement in us and always give us encouragement. It has been an extremely good tuition with you, thank you mr chan.

The lessons were detailed and we’ll structured. For instance, there was emphasis on understanding the mechanism of reactions rather than on memorizing them. Hence, there were many opportunities to clarify doubts The numerous notes and summaries provided certainly helped to facilitate the self-directed learning experience. Prior to joining Mr Chan’s class, I was scoring D & E for chemistry because I could not understand the concepts. Mr Chan explained solutions step by step, gave tons of practices and always availed himself to my questions. Subsequently I regained interest in chemistry and began to enjoy practicing from his resource of questions including challenging problems which ensured that I had internalised the concepts.
