Chemistry O Level (Pauline Lim)

Mrs Lim’s passion for Chemistry is evident in her teaching and that energy is infectious. Liking Chemistry and being able to appreciate it came easy for me because of the easy way she is able to bring across the concepts, even the most abstract of theories. Always patient, she answers my questions on the subject and clarifies any doubts before moving on. I look forward to the Chemistry lessons every week and I owe my love for Chemistry to Mrs Lim.

Before I joined teacher Pauline's lessons, I struggled to understand many basic concepts in Chemistry and faired poorly in my exams as a result. However, Mrs Lim was able to explain the concepts in a way that made chemistry very easy to understand and also made learning the subject very interesting. She also taught me how to answer the different types of questions thoroughly. Eventually, she helped me to improve tremendously and I even scored an A1 in my O-level examinations.

I first attended Mrs Lim’s lessons with a group of friends in Secondary 3, and subsequently stayed on till the end of my Junior College education. Chemistry was once a dreaded subject for me, yet her passion and knowledge for the subject made it something I thoroughly enjoy learning and exploring, even up till today. Mrs Lim is one of the most dedicated tutors I have had in my academic life. She is extremely resourceful, and with her wide experience in coaching Chemistry, I found Mrs Lim’s lessons really refreshing and lively!

Despite being a student of Mrs Lim’s for merely half a year, her teachings changed my perspective towards Chemistry tremendously. Once weak in Chemistry, I found myself developing a liking towards the subject after attending her lessons. As an experienced teacher, Mrs Lim possesses vast understanding towards Chemistry, she also has effective exam techniques to share with her students. She is a genuinely passionate tutor, who cares deeply about her students’ well-being. I hope that you will enjoy her Chemistry lessons, like I did two years ago!

I started under Auntie Pauline for chemistry during my O levels and carried on throughout JC. Needless to say I did well in the subjects she taught me. She is a competent teacher, articulate and organised. She presents concepts and tackles subjects in an orderly and clear manner. The thing I like most about Auntie Pauline is that she is patient, nurturing and is passionate about teaching. You'll have no regrets taking her on as your tutor.

Mrs Lim is a patient and engaging Chemistry teacher. We were able to understand difficult Chemistry concepts through her explanations and notes. I found her notes and tables to be very comprehensive and useful for understanding and revising Chemistry. Through her lessons I’m sure you will love Chemistry as I did.

A patient yet meticulous chemistry teacher who gives her 100% to every single student. Mrs lim's familarity with the syllabus was second to none and this helped me to overcome the initial challenges I faced in the subject. Without her close guidance, I wouldn't have gotten my A in H2 Chemistry. Thanks Mrs Lim!

Mrs Lim is a very patient and dedicated Chemistry teacher. She would revise some chapters that I was weak in and her explanations were clear and concise. She would break down complicated concepts into simpler ones for me to understand better. Mrs Lim would also follow my school’s syllabus closely so that we could refresh what we had learnt that week in school.
