‎Your classes were excellent as you made difficult chemistry concepts really easy to understand. We were given ample practice to cement our understanding and the pace was just right.

Mr Chan is well versed with the syllabus. He ensures you understand the Chemistry behind each reaction. As a result, studying Organic Chemistry was a breeze unlike before, where I relied on memorisation . He is also patient with his students and stays back to help them after tuition time. Really thankful to have met Mr Chan who improved my “U ” in my Chemistry to a B. ‎ This is the only tuition where my grades improved quite significantly and it’s one of the best and most effective tuition yet

Mr Chan’s chemistry lessons were instrumental in helping me achieve stellar results in my Chemistry A level exam. Through his patience, meticulous guidance and personal touch, my chemistry grade drastically improved over my 2 years in JC, allowing me to finally achieve an A.

Chemistry in secondary school used to be easy. A1s were not an issue, just put in a little effort and it’s done. JC on the other hand….D/Es were the norm. Mr Chan had been an excellent chemistry tutor and with his help, I managed to pull from a E in chem to B.

I never did well for chemistry in Secondary School but I started doing well in Junior College because of Mr Chan’s lessons. Not only are they efficient, they help me understand the topics even better than the school teachers! My grades improved from a S grade to top in level and helped me to achieve an A for A levels!

My doubts are always clarified during lessons and i’m always learning new things because the questions done during tuition were always chosen to pick out commonly made mistakes. previously i was always confused during chem lessons but the concepts were always explained clearly and later on i could even help my classmates.

Comprehensive and detailed explanation of concepts with clear and concise teaching

Mr Chan’s style of teaching makes the lesson interesting and efficient. This helps us to fully comprehend and understand the subject better. He also provides us with good questions that helped in our answering techniques in the exam.

I used to think that studying lecture notes and completing tutorials would suffice, but Mr Chan exposed me to questions beyond the ten year series. Every week, he would make us practice questions under time constrain, before going through them in a detailed and concise manner. He took care to point out common misconceptions, popular questions and A level trends, making my revision more efficient. Although the lessons were quite fast-paced and rigorous, my grades improved from an S to an A. Mr Chan has proved his dedication to teaching, even willing to entertain students’ questions outside of tuition. Thanks to him, I have discovered my love for Chemistry and plan to pursue Chemistry in university.

Your teaching is efficient and straight to the point, helping me resolve my conceptual understanding of various topics in the shortest period of time. You always hope to see improvement in us and always give us encouragement. It has been an extremely good tuition with you, thank you mr chan.

The lessons were detailed and we’ll structured. For instance, there was emphasis on understanding the mechanism of reactions rather than on memorizing them. Hence, there were many opportunities to clarify doubts The numerous notes and summaries provided certainly helped to facilitate the self-directed learning experience. Overall, Mr Chan has played an invaluable role in helping me achieve a distinction for chemistry.

Prior to joining Mr Chan’s class, I was scoring D & E for chemistry because I could not understand the concepts. Mr Chan explained solutions step by step, gave tons of practices and always availed himself to my questions. Subsequently I regained interest in chemistry and began to enjoy practicing from his resource of questions including challenging problems which ensured that I had internalised the concepts. Attending Mr Chan’s lessons was a pleasure and I hope many students would discover/rediscover the love for chemistry under him! Thank you for my distinction!

Mr Chan’s lessons are comprehensive and detailed. As a result, I’ve achieved a far greater understanding of the subject than I did before. This provided me with the confidence to excel in my A levels with a distinction .

Mr Chan is very patient in explaining concepts and when helping to clarify doubts. He provides all of us with summarized as well as supplementary notes which are very useful while I do my revision. Moreover, his lessons are well organized in the sense that he teaches a new concept and then you can try out questions relating to it before he gives the detailed solutions and explanations.

Mr Chan’s lessons were concise and always covered the key points that is relevant to exams within a chapter.His clear explanations enhanced my understanding. The notes given were easy to comprehend and useful for revision. There was enough practice to allow good coverage of the chapters which helped in my application techniques in the exams. Good tips were given on how to tackle certain questions in exams.

Mr Chan had played a critical role in shaping my interest in Chemistry at A Levels.‎ Chemistry was difficult for me as it involved studying matter that were miniscule and difficult to visualise But Mr Chan was able to show us clearly the foundations to which the theories are applied, and made learning a whole lot easier. With his patience and ability to connect with his students, he made Chemistry a lot easier and I improved from a fail in JC2 to a distinction in A levels.

Mr. Chan’s chemistry classes were among the most memorable I took at VJC. His classes were always interesting, interactive and instructive. His clarity of thought and instruction was important in helping me ace the Chemistry final exams.
